Cedarview Farm is unique and competitive horse riding establishment in Susan, VA with a history dating back to 1990. As a family-run business, we offer boarding, leasing, seasonal programs and year-round lessons for children and adults. From the first time rider to the more advanced, our instructor will provide a comprehensive and challenging riding experience within a casual atmosphere. Cedarview Farm offers private and group lessons designed for those who want the full hands-on equestrian experience.

We accommodate the beginner through the advanced rider. Our students range from 2 to 82 and all levels. Our horses are well trained to accommodate your needs. We offer lessons, clinics, horse shows, fox hunting, cross country riding, and lots of fun. We pride ourselves on making happy horses and happy people.

Merri Franzreb-Musso
Merri is a graduate of Bennett College, Millbrook, NY, studying in psychology and equine studies to round out her lifetime with horses. Growing up in a family business, Clove Lake Stables, Staten Island, NY, Merri first competed in Madison Square Garden at the age of 4 and has been competing ever since. She qualified for the Medal/Maclay zone 2 finals at the age of 13 and continued to show in such prestigious shows as the National Horse Show, Devon, Harrisburg, Hampton Classic, Monmouth, Middlesex and Woodedge. Merri’s vast experience encompasses being a competitor with many championships, trainer (hunters, jumpers, racing TB’s), instructor of over 45 years, (Marshall sterling finals, adult amateur hunter finals, USEF children/adult jumper classics, hunter classic winners, many year-end awards, 6 times instructor of the year), coach (pony club nationals winning team and equitation champion), avid foxhunter of 45 years and staff member, and horse show manager and judge. She is a lifetime member of USEF, USHJA, Professional Horseman's Association and a master of Princess Anne Hunt.
Merri comes from New Jersey where her and her husband owned and operated Cedarview Farm, a training, boarding and show facility, for 25 years. They have since moved to Mathews, Va continuing the business. Merri has taught students ages 2-75, at all levels from beginner to “A” show riders. She feels it is essential to educate both horse and rider in a gentle yet firm fashion, to achieve the utmost of the unique experience of becoming one with your horse. Merri believes in making happy horses and happy people.
